Early Childhood Education summit

Held at the TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre in Manukau, on Friday 4 April, 2008

What was this forum about?

Despite significantly increased government investment in early childhood education, participation rates for Manukau children have remained almost unchanged over the last three years.

In parts of the city, and for some population groups, participation in Early Childhood Education is significantly lower than the national average.

This summit discussed a number of actions proposed to improve participation in quality early childhood education, and will shape Manukau’s strategy for Early Childhood Education services.

It was attended by people involved in early childhood education services in Manukau city, and those with a stake in children’s early learning.
